I running Vista 32 bit and was updated to 360v6. After install I'm having trouble. Installed 360v6 twice and keep getting Norton error 3048.3. After running NPE scan nothing changes and keep getting same error. I'm just going in circles. Anybody have any ideas? Thank You.

Do you now or have you ever had another security program on your computer? If so, you will have to remove it with the removal tool for that program.
Have you updated your Vista to SP2?
When you installed 360 for the second time, how did you remove it before the second install? I would suggest trying again using the Norton Removal Tool before the reinstall.
Download the Norton Removal Tool from here www.norton.com/nrt
Download the appropriate version of your N360 Standard edition or Premier edition
If you use Identity Safe, backup/export your data.
Uninstall your Norton product with Windows control panel.
Run the Norton Removal Tool.
Reboot.
Run the N360 installer.
Run LiveUpdate manually a few times, rebooting as necessary, until no updates are available.
Import your Identity Safe data.
Please let us know how it goes.

I checked all of the items that you suggested:No other security-SP2-Run live update until Norton has all updates. The live update did have items to install. I did it until no other updates available. I will run my computer a few days and see if anything pops up. Thank You for the quick reply and I will post back in a few days to let you know how things are going.

Just to confirm that you rebooted since the LiveUpdates. Some updates require this.

I've been using my computer since following your instructions and is now running great. Seems that going into" liveupdate" until "no other updates available" fixed the problem. Thank You so much for your help (peterweb).

Glad to hear you found the solution.
Updates and reboots often fix the problem.
