I've done everything liste in the forum related to this error, still a fail.
Plus, Norton's own info. leaves gaps, e.g. asking for which 'version' in order to progress diagnosis, yet never offering that info. on the 'Norton 360' download, product purchase, etc.
I've asked 'Nathan' for help 3 times now, and all I get in my Inbox is Norton product spam.
I've deactiveated the product auto renewal after 5 years of loyalty.

Do you by chance have Microsoft Scurity ssentials installed and running? I ask as Error 8504, 100 deisignates a conflict/corruption. You must remove all other AV/real-time security products prior to runing Norton.
What is you OS?

I do have Windows Security running and clicked the run 'as compatible with' box
I would suggest you remove MSE and see if that permits Norton to run without any conflicts.
