Account reads wrong

I removed one of my 3 Norton downloads from my old Dell and then junked it.  I would like to download Norton on my newest computer but my account still says I have 3 being used.  Help! I cannot get a real person on Customer support to change my account.

Re: Account reads wrong

Hello Scoobiemom,

Norton account has a count on how many computers you have installed Norton and there is no way that you can change it from  your Norton Account.

In your case, I would suggest you to install on your new computer. You should be able to install and activate Norton.

If you get an error as "You have exceeded the maximum number of allowable installations", I would suggest you to contact norton technical support either by phone: 1-800-745-6061 (or) contact us on www.norton.com/chat, where our tech would be able to reset the activation counts from backend.

Let me know if it works..

Re: Account reads wrong

Scoobiemom,

If your new computer came with any security program preinstalled -- most have some kind of trial -- would you please tell us what it is and if you removed it how you did so.

There are special tools to clean up after one security program and before installing a different one and if you tell us what you had we can point you to the correct download to get ....

Otherwise you will almost certainly have problems in installing your Norton.

There are 4 subversions of Norton 360 -- Standard (2GB of Free OnLine Storage) and Premier (25GB of Free OnLine Storage) and there is a Netbook version of each. If you let us know which version you have already and are going to sue the KEY for we can give you a download link for the current version, unless you already have it.
