Antispyware Soft Virus

[ Edited ]

I have the same Antispyware Soft virus on my computer. I have downloaded hijackthis, however the virus will not let me run it for more than a fraction of a second before closing it with the message "hijackthis.exe is infected" etc. When Hikackthis popped up for a second I managed to click agree to terms of service and I can tell there is a menu with a few buttons when the program opens but I am unable to do anything with it. I am running the hijackthis program from my downloads folder. I have Windows 7 64 bit. Any help would be appreciated.

Re: Antispyware Soft

Nevermind, I got it to work in Safemode. I have followed the steps up to this point and need someone to interpret the hijackthis report for me.

Thanks in advance

Re: Antispyware Soft

Hi I_Hate_Spyware:

There may be a wait as I don't know if we have an analyst online at the moment.  I'm also not sure if whatever was stopping you from running HJT will show properly if it is inactive in safe mode.  Only the pros know.

If you are still in safe mode with networking I believe you have no protection at all.  You would be best to go back to normal mode or another computer if available.

Re: Antispyware Soft

With Antispyware Soft and Hijackthis, you have to fool the rogue into thinking that Hijackthis is a Windows process

With Hijackthis tick these entries

R1 - HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Internet Settings,ProxyServer = http=127.0.0.1:5555

O4 - HKCU\..\Run: [sajptujc] C:\Users\Happy Moon\AppData\Local\xxdkobvsa\riaowpntssd.exe

Now click, "Fix Checked"

Restart the PC, the rogue shouldn't start now.

Next, check the Internet Connections so that the Proxy is NOT selected, see the link below
