Norton 360

Hi,

Woould like to enquire, I just recieve a copy of Norton 360 3.0 as a gift. If I install it, does it mean it will automatically upgrade me to 360 V4 from the Norton Update Center?

Welcome to the Norton Users Discussion Forum

With a valid key, you can go directly to version 4 and just enter your key from version 3. You don't have to install version 3 first. Please make sure you get the right version though as there are 2 of them: standard and premier. The difference being the amount of backup space you have.

Hi Slmka,

You will be eligible for free upgrade to N360 V4 if you have N360 1.0/2.0/3.0 and can use the same product key in latest product. It will not be automatically upgraded to V4 if you have V3. You need to manually install N360 V4.

You can directly download V4 from 

http://updatecenter.norton.com/manually.ftl

If you provide your current version of the product, you will be redirected to the latest product if available. In your case you will be redirected to N360 V4. Download the product and install V4 directly and use the product key from V3 to activate V4.

Kindly save the Product Key into Norton Account for future reference.

Also note to choose correct flavor of N360 (N360 (or) N360 Premier) as using your Product Key vice versa will not be successful.

If you have got Windows 7, then Norton 360 version 3.0 is not compatible with Windows 7 - only version 3.5 and above are compatible; so it is best if you follow floplot's suggestion, download and install version 4 on your computer, and then use the product key of version 3 to activate your Norton product :-) You will find the product key on the CD sleeve.
