I repaired the WMI and now the backup is working.  Thank you.  Any idea how to fix the autoplay choices that were working until Norton's support worked on my computer?  Videos no longer up automatically in windows media player.  When I insert dvd it opens in a folder view instead.

Open "my computer" and right click on the DVD drive and select "properties".

Under the tab "autoplay" you can select what you want.  You also want to go through the different file types in the top box, music files, pictures, etc.

I do that and it is there that I have no actions showing for me to choose from.  Not sure what happened.  I can select different media like music, pictures, etc.  but have no actions showing in the box.  really confused.
