I am running Norton 360 v 3.0 on desktop (XP OS) and Laptop (Vista OS) and I am backing up both computers to an external harddrive.
If I re-install XP on my desktop it will wipe the disc clean and then I will have to re-install Norton. I have a couple of concerns:
1. The Norton license allows it to be installed on 3 computers. I was going to install it on a 3rd. computer, but if I have to re-install it after re-installing XP on my desktop, will that count as the 3rd. computer installation??
2. Aftr I reinstall the XP operating system, and then the Norton, will there be any problem in restoring the backup files from the external hard drive??

It will not affect the number of remaining licences

Just reinstall 360 on each of the PCs and you shouldn't have any problems
