I agree. Besides my own free-hosted blog with no domain, I've seen tons of others show up as a grey icon when I know they're safe/decent sites. None of us can register to update/claim the site because of the lack of options for those of us without meta access or root folder access.
It would be nice if we could simply be asked to temporarily post a text/html widget/gadget with a Norton-assigned title on the widget, and then post into that widget -- whatever random keys/info is asked of us by Norton. Once Norton scans the site & verifies the info, they should then allow us to claim our site or something... And then we should be able to remove the widget/gadget afterwards.
In the meantime, I've just been going around and trying to rate these greyed blogs to a 5 in hopes that they'll be changed to green but that hasn't done anything...
