Thanks for the quick reply - I clicked on the link and it started downloading but it is telling me it will take 15 hours - does not sound right. By the way - when my original download of Norton got to about 54 % I got a dialogue box saying automatic download can't continue go to manual - went to manual and it started back from 0 but with virutally no donwload progess. does this make any sense?
Thanks again for your help

Are you sure your reinstall is complete and all the infections gone? Is anything else slow in your internet connection?
How do you connect to the internet? Dial Up, DSL, Cable, Satellite .....
Did you try the shortcuts to your specific product in PapauZ's message and specify SAVE, not Run ? Try SAVE to a location on your computer where you can find the file and then you can install off line. Try the same shortcut using another computer and SAVE then you can move the file across on a CD or a thumbdrive.

Hi,..I think you were right as in the virus may not have been completely removed ...I did another windows reinstall and then directly to Norton to install the antivirus ...I really appreciate your help - has been two days lost trying to fix this even tho I had a previous antivirus (Mc) ...looks like Norton is actually better. Again, thanks very much for your suggestions and help.
