After that you should be at the Comcast Support Forums, click on security and antivirus at the top, then scroll down to this thread: Norton 360 V 4 now available for upgrade for current users.
That will give you some additional info. ComcastForum
Think it would be helpful to point out that ... the first post in the thread reports a link to update to v4. Only reading further reveals that this forum thread currently (2/26/2010) confirms what you posted earlier - update not available for Comcast version.

The thread in question on the Comcast Forums is located here.
True, as of 02/26/2010, the upgrade to V 4 for COMCAST customers is not available!
I have requested info from the Forum Administrator about the V 4 upgrade schedule for COMCAST users and also suggested the COMCAST Secuirty folks publish complete instructions on how to upgrade to V 4 from V 3. When I receive a response, I'll post it here as well.

The product available through Comcast--Norton Security Suite--is unique to Comcast and therefore not on the same release schedule as Norton 360. But rest assured, Comcast customers who are eligible for the Norton product as a part of their high speed Internet access package are eligible to receive any upgrade to the product when it is available.
Thank you for your interest in Norton.

Thanks for the feedback -- I suspect that there are a few words missing at the end of that paragraph which should go on " .... through Comcast's arrangement with Norton".
I don't think it means they can just expect to get it through the normal Norton channels that we non-Comcast users access. There are physical differences in the programs.

Sorry about the layout -- this is what I posted:
I even deleted the contents and recreated them but ....

What was the point of that?

If you are addressing me the point was perhaps obscured by the distortion the system caused to my posting where the essential part was:

The only difference is the name and there is no online backup.

Which means there are differences in what modules are there or are active ..... and how you reach support.
And their users will not get updates in the same way. As you may have seen someone has tried to update their Comcast V3 with the public V4 and it won't. This is quite normal.
