Ok I tried the second version of the RootRepeal and go the same result as the last time. I did the Malawarebytes, a complete system scan of all the harddrives and this is the log that I got:
Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware 1.38

Windows 6.0.6001 Service Pack 1

Says nothing is infected so I dunno, the computer still runs like **bleep** though.

Another user had a similar problem. It was suggested that when no scans will run, you may well have a corrupted hard drive, or an impending failure. Now would be the time to save everything of importance, and then go to the website of the drive manufacturer and check for a diagnostic program.
One word of caution. When I tried to run chkdsc on a dying drive, it finished it totally.

Luckily I have another older computer which works, more or less, and have everything already backed up on it. I'll look into getting some sort of diagnostic on the hard drives, hopefully something works.
Thanks for all the help everyone, much appreiciated.
Btw delphinium, I like your quotation, very nice.

If you have everything backed up you could try Combofix Right click run as Admin for Vista, without a script.

I followed the steps about the ComboFix and even selecting Run As Administrator it didn't allow the program to run. It says "Incompatible OS. ComboFix only works for WIndows 2000 and XP"
I have Vista 64 bit, any way for this to work??

Sb_tornado:
You could try Spybot S & D which seems to be well-recommended for 64 bit. These systems are spposed to be less prone to malware, so it may be another indication of a hardware problem.
Finding something that will work is proving a challenge.

Well, I downloaded, installed and used the Spybot software, with the result not being much different. Not sure what to do now....
Thanks to everyone for their help though. Much appreciated.

I have been tracking some performance related issues in N360 and I am wondering if you currently have it installed? I have not seen you report that you are in the thread. If you are I may be able to help with one possible issue. But I need to know if you currently have backup configured.
Thanks,
Mike
