I'm trying to play a game that I just got, but everytime I update it Norton's deteles the file that is needed to run the game itself.  How do I set it to where it doesnt scan the folder?

Thanks in advance.

Re: Deleting files

Hi bom,

Welcome to Norton Community!

Please provide information on your Operating System and the name & version of your Norton program. Also provide the game name and file which Norton deletes. If you are using the latest version - Norton 360 3.0, I would suggest you to try adding the game folder to the File Exclusion of AutoProtect and then check whether the Norton still deletes it when you run update.

1. Start Norton 360.
2. Click Settings.
3. Click AntiVirus.
4. Click Exclusions tab.
5. Under Which disks, folders, or files to exclude from risk scanning, click New.
6. Select the
game folder(folder in which all files for the game are located) and click OK.
7. Under Which disks, folders, or files to exclude from Auto-Protect scanning, click New.
8.
Select the game folder and click OK.
9. Click Close.

Let us know how it goes.
