Disabling Norton 360 backup

[ Edited ]
Because I can't get 360 to back up all the files it is supposed to (see New system, same problem. Norton 360 is leaving a lot of files not backed up), I want to disable backups while I look for a backup program that works.  If I don't 360 will go into Yellow and then Alert mode in an attempt to make me run it.  I set the set to never run, but now I have 360 eventually raising false alarms.

Good solution if you are not happy with Norton 360 is to use Norton Ghost. I use it all the time and it is excellent.

I meant for doing backups of course. You still need an AV and firewall porduct as well.

  1. I don't have the money.
  2. It bs up only partitions, not files.

Go to Settings -> Administrative Settings -> Product State Monitoring and uncheck "Backup", then it should stop bothering you about it and stay "green" even if you haven't set up a backup schedule.
