Does my system reserve drive need to be defragmented?

When I run the disc optimixer it defragments both my C and D drives to 0-1%. However my system reserve drives is 41% defragmented and the disc optimizer leaves it that way. There is not an error message. I read online that the system reserve drive does not really need to be defragmented. I would appreciate an answer. In closing my computer has no issues and runs great. Occasionally I will get a high handles alert. Thanks for your time and input.

Re: Does my system reserve drive need to be defragmented?

Hi,

Never defragment System Reserved partition.

Open Control Panel and set Windows defragmenter to exclude this partition from defragmentation.

Reboot your pc and you are OK.
