My 360 subscription expires next month. Norton charges $79 for a download renewal, but the local warehouse clubs (Costco, BJ's) run specials with instant $30 rebates on the boxed software. I seem to remember doing this last time but can't remember if I have to uninstall Norton before re-installing from the new disc. I don't use online storage so that's not a problem. Has anyone done this?

Hi,
Once your current subscription expires, you can directly key in the new product key and your subscription will be activated. But please make sure the product which you buy out-store is a legitimate one and also make sure that you are buying the same product only which is about to expire.
Please enter the new key only after your current subscription expires else you will lose you current available days and you will have contact our support team to get it back.

Prasanna

karlugo,
When using a new KEY we normally recommend you use it a couple of days before the subscription ends just in case you have a problem and need to fix something since once your subscription expires you lose all protection ... it doesn't continue with frozen definitions.
If you use teh Identity Safe I'd suggest you make sure you have a recent backup of the data file by exporting it to a safe place.
As said, do make sure you get the Standard N 360 if you have Standard installed or Premier if you have Premier installed since the Keys are not interchangeable.
