While running a full system scan on my sons laptop through Norton ...during the scan showed 34 virus/spyware, but was still running......another window popped up which not only stopped the original scan, but through it right off as well as stating that an error had occured during the scan which was : 8504.104.......So I restarted the full system scan again and it showed everything was fine....which makes me to think there is something more that the scan is not picking up on now.....What was the error that interupted the scan?

Hi,
please try to run a Full System Scan in Safe Mode:
1. Restart your PC
2. Before the Windows logo press F8 until you see a list
3. Select Safe Mode, and hit enter
4. When Windows is loaded, open the Norton product, and run a Full System Scan.
Let us know the results.

Try to create a Norton Bootable Recovery tool from any other computer which is free from threats, boot your computer using it and then run a scan.
This is to make sure that your computer is free of threats. You may also try Norton Power Eraser tool:
