I try to update and run liveupdate but I get this error message (8920, 1240), any ideas to fix the problem

Welcome to Norton Commmunity. Can you please give few information like what version of Norton 360 you use either V.4 or V5.. you can check that on Main interface of Norton 360 by clicking Support and in that about.

Hi,
I am having the same problem. I have the latest version and I have restarted multiple times. I keep getting the same error message. Is there anything else I can do?

You could try doing a reinstallation of Norton.

I could fix it after reinstalling the Norton software, it took me long but it fixed the problem
