Also been having DHCP client server error message at the same time.

Computer has been running very slow for the past couple of weeks especially when browsing internet IE9 crashes often and Firefox is also very slow. Normally browsing starts off ok for 10 minutes then gets gradually slower and slower until i have to reboot. Been having high CPU usage with IE. Ive tried everything. Ran malware and spyware scans, Full Norton scans, Norton eraser, Windows scans and theres been nothing detected. Gone through the whole system. Seems to have got worse since renewing Norton 360, but problem started before the renewal.

Can anyone help, please before i go mad!!!!.

Cheers

Ash

Re: Event Viewer Error messages Re: Norton - on startup

Hi,

please try to run the program's Full System Scan in Safe Mode:
1. Restart your PC
2. Before the Windows logo press F8 until you see a list
3. Select Safe Mode, and hit enter
4. When Windows is loaded, open the Norton product, and run a Full System Scan.

Let us know the results.

If a Safe Mode scan do not gives any detection, please try to remove and reinstall the product with the latest installer package:

1. If you use the feature, please backup your Identity Safe data (Settings -> Identity Protection -> Backup)
2. Download latest Norton 360 installer (only the edition you bought):

- www.norton.com/n360sne_5 Standard Netbook Edition with 2GB Online Storage
- www.norton.com/n360pne_5 Premier Netbook Edition with 25GB Online Storage
- for other languages please go to the Norton Update Center and select manual product selectoion + change the language on the site's top: www.norton.com/nuc
3. Download Norton Removal Tool: www.norton.com/nrt
4. Disconnect from internet
5. Remove Norton 360 version from Start Menu or from Control Panel -> Add or Remove programs
6. Reboot
7. Run the Norton Removal Tool, reboot (repeat it 2-3 times)
8. Install Norton 360 version 5 with the previously downloaded installer
9. Reconnect to the internet
10. Activate Norton 360 version 5
11. Run Live Update until you get no new updates
