Hi.
Recently, my computer was running extremely slow. I checked Windows Task Manager (which took 10 minutes to open) and saw that CPU was constantly at 86%. The culprit turned out be ccSvcHst.exe. Here is a screenshot Task Manager while I am writing this thread:
* Windows 7 - Intel Pentium D 915 - 1.5GB RAM @ 533MHz
It's even worse on start up.
This screenshot was taken about 2 hours after start up.
I may have coincided with me turning on the back up feature on Norton 360. I'm not sure although the back up utility was VERY laggy while browsing though files and folders.
Is this normal?
Is the only way to fix it, to not use the back up feature?
Is ccSvcHst.exe supposed to not a user name in the task manager?
Thanks

What version of Win7 are you running? What version is N360; the version is available in the Help & Support > About menu. It should be 3.5.2.11 to be fully Win7 compatiable.
How was your Win7 installed? In place upgrade or Custom Install?

I'm running Windows 7 Build 7100 (RC).
Norton 360 is version 3.5.2.11
Don't worry about it I guess. I don't really need backup so reinstalled Norton 360 and it has been well ever since.

I was going to suggest a re-install as I have seen that fix this error before.
Glad you got it worked out.
