I see the Firefox 11 has been released, but it doesn't look like Norton 360 supports it yet. I'm still running Norton 360 v5. Will Firefox 11 be supported, or do I have to upgrade to N360 v6? I've been holding off on the upgrade until the problems settle down.
Thanks.

After I created this topic, I found this article. Firefox has released version 11 today, but only for manual updates. They won't release the automatic update until later. I'm not sure when Norton will support it, and I'm not sure if or how long they will continue to support the Firefox updates in Norton 360 v5.

Thanks!
Went I tried to install Firefox 11 manually, it said that the Norton Toolbar wasn't compatible and that it would be disabled until it was upgraded. I held off doing the installation. I'm not in a rush to get Firefox 11. Norton has been updating 360 in time to upgrade as soon as the new Firefox comes out. I guess this time there was a schedule mix-up.

Hello JavaGeek,
You'll likely want to upgrade to Norton 360 v6. We're going to release an update shortly for users of our Comcast offering (which is still on v5) to make it compatible, so eventually Norton 360 v5 / Norton Internet Security 2011 will get the update. However, there will be a delay. For the latest release products, they're already compatible with Firefox 11.

UPDATE: a Firefox 11 compatibility patch has been released via LiveUpdate for Norton 360 v5.2.0.13. Please run LiveUpdate to download and install the update, and restart your system for the changes to take effect. If you still do not see the Norton Toolbar, please check and ensure the Norton Toolbar plugin is enabled. You can do this by clicking on the Firefox menu, selecting Add-ons, and then clicking Enable next to Norton Toolbar.

TYVM Tim and Tony for the info and I have also passed this onto the Comcast users on the Comcast Forums - now all we (Comcast NSS users) need is version 6! :smilywink:

No Norton Toolbar problems in Firefox here, probably because I have been waiting a few days after each Firefox update-release before taking the Firefox revision and version updates. Meanwhile, I have been LiveUpdating Norton ( I.S. as well as 360 ) almost everyday.
