I have Norton 360 v5.2.0.13. I have run the Live Update and it says I have the most recent updates. I have rebooted my machine to make sure all updates have taken effect. The Norton Toolbar still doesn't show up in Firefox 11 . I have checked Firefox addons and it says the Norton Toolbar is disabled with no option to enable it. Suggestions other than upgrade to V6?

Hi Kkh,
Welcome to Norton Community,
Sorry for the issue you are facing,
Norton 360 v5 Norton Toolbar version should be 2011.7.6.3 (updated version) to have enable button in FF->tools->addons->extension, If you don't have latest version, it means still patch is not applied into your system,
In order to get that patch, please run liveupdate repeatedly until it shows " your Norton product has latest updates" and Restart the computer whenever it requires.
Once you got the latest version(2011.7.6.3) Go to FF->Tools->Addons->Enable Norton toolbar addons and restart FF
Please find more info from this link
After performing above steps, if you still have this problem. Could try un install and re installing the product and Firefox 11, follow the below steps to un install and re install product and Firefox11
If you use identity safe, before un-installing the product, take a backup of Identity safe data
Uninstall Firefox11completely and Download a fresh copy of Firefox 11.0 from here: http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/new/
Remove N360 from Start Menu or from Control Panel -> Add or Remove programs (if this is not work, follow below steps)
Please download Norton Removal Tool from following link : www.norton.com/nrt and follow the procedure which is mentioned in the link
Install the N360(Download link for N360 V5 www.norton.com/n360s_5 ) and Run Live Update until you get no new updates(Run 9 to 10 times approx)
Restore your Identity Safe data
Please keep your Norton product key handy to activate your product after installation or you can get the key by logging into Norton account(www.mynortonaccount.com
Now install FF11 and Go to FF->Tools->Addons->Enable Norton toolbar addons and restart FF then check the behavior now.
Hope this helps,
Thanks,
Senthil

I think I orginally posted the following in the wrong dicussion. Referring to the procedures outlined by senthilkumar in a few posts...
The coFFPlgn & IPSFFPlgn versions are correct, located where they should be, and each's install.rdf file has max version set at 11.*
I have executed the the procedures countless times...uninstalling N360 with the NRT and leaving no trace of FF behind thru various cleaning utilities.
Each time I make the initial (e.g. post-uninstall) extensions.ini edits, FF will load the toolbar. However, neither IPS or the toolbar appear in add-ons view. I can browse and access toolbar functions. I can restart FF repeatedly and the toolbar remains...with one exception.
If I edit FF add-ons in any way, once I close the session, the extensions.ini file is amended and entries for toolbar & IPS are deleted.
It is very perplexing. I've installed a trial of latest NIS and even Comcast's NBS. All goes well and I soon as I have all the updates, FF displays the toolbar...until I edit add-ons.
This bug occurred when I inadvertently approved install to 11. Is there some cryptic FF preference which has disabled the Norton plug-ins?
I appreciate any advice.

After Complete uninstall and reinstall of NIS/Firefox, Are you getting the toolbar addons in FF->Tools->Addons-> Norton toolbar addons ?

Once you have toolbar in FF, what is the necessity of editing the entries in Extension.ini?

While uninstalling FF Please check the check box with tickmark(mentioned below) for Remove my personal data and customizations then install FF again and check the behavior again

No...addons are not present until I edit the extensions.ini file

Pardon my lack of clarity...I meant that my edits to extensions.ini persist until I make any change to Addons via FF..then FF overwrites the file and removes path entries for toolbar & IPS
Everything is removed with FF uninstall. I've also tested within a new user account with same results. Again...all was good prior to FF 11 install

Welcome YaKha,
First thing to try is to manually run Live Update and reboot where required, until no more updates are available.
I am curious though, why you haven't upgraded to N360 V6 yet? You can upgrade to the latest version while ever your subscription is current.
Let us know how you get on with the toolbar.
Thanks, Dave.
