I bought the cd package last year in October, downloaded it registered and have been using it with relatively no problems since then. Today I received the renewal notice that my trial period is about to expire in 23 days. What the heck is happening ? When i look at control panel 3 of the 4 downloads reflect the correct date; but the main product is listed as installed 4/2/12. I tried to re-install from my origin. CD and the error message is about removing the original install.
This is really annoying.

Hi hollyavh,
How many subscription days remaining are shown on the product's main window? If that number is correct, then you should disregard the notice. What was the source of the notice, by the way? There have been some fraudulent phishing emails that some users have received recently that attempted to trick them into "renewing."

as stated in my original inquiry, I don't have a trial. As stated I have a paid subscription and a date.
I did not receive an email .

Run the Subscription Status Check (Support > Subscription Status). Then check your installed program and your Norton Account to make sure the correct number of days remaining on your subscription is shown accurately. If so, you are in no danger of the license expiring. Did you have a trial version of something on the PC at one time? Is it a fairly new computer that may have had a bundled free trial of something pre-installed?

I'd done all of that prior to submitting inquiry to forums. The information is wrong. That's why I wrote.
Yes, several years ago I had a trial. I've been a paid subscriber since early 2010. this message came from the norton product error message. It makes no sense, I've been receiving the usual monthly web reports, back up automatically thru on line backup option @ Norton/Symentec. I've changed nothing since November 2011 but my clothes.

Hi Hollyavh
Did you Reinstalled the Norton Product ?
Please look into your Norton Account and check how many Norton Products are Registered and their Expiration dates.
Can you also post a Screenshot of the Notification that you're getting which will help us to help you with more insight?

haalready done all that. Norton seems to be listing pnly the products I've downloaded from their site and not the product that I registered in November from retail CD box. Very odd, I've had no problems with on line back up nor any error messages. I do updates regularly, diagnostics regularly, I use the system as it's intended. I did try to reinstall the CD but it was the wrong CD so Norton would not allow it (without an uninstall) which further mystifys. None of this is making any sense
I downloaded but did not install the beta of Windows 8. But that was last week. the issues we're discussing started today at 11am.

Hi Holly
Please open the Norton 360 on your Computer and let us know how many days it is showing.
And in your Norton Account is there any Norton Product which is going to expire after 23days?
