ok. so my computer was just repaired. i got it back with no data on, clean restore. so i needed a new norton, bought 360, installed it as i have before, only it did not ask to sign into my norton account, like it has before. i need help- i need to get this subscription. is that still possible? its just odd that it did not ask beforehand.

Hi addispartans
If you had N360 installed on your computer before it was restored and you have a current subscription, you can just reinstall the program and use the same key you had used before. If you want to access your account, you should be able to access it from the area around help and support. Here is the link though for it.

What version of N360 did you have installed before your restore? If it wasn't N360, what product did you have before?

ill explain better. my current subscription expired while my pc was being repaired. then while being repaied the data was erased (no big deal). My family had bought norton, 3 user, and when i got my pc back, i was going to be the third user. so i just installed, thinking that it would prompt me for my norton account. it did not. so currently my new product is not associated with my account.

Hi addispartans
I think your product would show up on the computer of the person who first installed N360. I think it would show up on that person's computer as the 3rd install since you had to use the same key as the other person. Since you didn't buy the subscription, I don't think it would show up on your account.

Here are the steps to resolve the issue:
1. Make sure that the system date and time are correct.
2. Start Norton 360 Version 3.0
3. At the top, click My Account.
4. Clcik Renew Subscription.
5. In the text box, type your new Product Key (The one which starts with the letter "T")
6. Click Next.
7. Be sure that you are connected to the Internet, and click Next.
8. Click Finish.
9. Run LiveUpdate.
Now verify that the Norton product is showing the correct subscription days remaining.

A note about sharing keys, Norton Accounts and Online Storage :
Each 3 seat key is associated with only 1 Norton Account. The first time you create or register a Norton Account using your key, the key becomes permanently registered to that Norton Account. If you activate a second machine using that key, we won't ask for Norton Account information because the key is already registered.
If your family shares a 3 seat key, there is only one Norton Account.
Your Online Backup Data is tied to that Norton Account.
If you renew using a key that is registered to a different Norton Account than you were previously using, you won't see your old Online Backup sets. This is an upgrade/renewal issue. Because you've completely uninstalled, you won't see your old backup sets anyway.
You can still access your old data using Norton Online Backup - NOBU.
The problem you may have (if you're an Online Backup user) is that the storage associated with your old Norton Account is expired and you haven't renewed it. The data will be subject to purge. If there's anything you need stored in your old account, I suggest you retrieve and then start backing up to your new acccount.
