•Open Your Norton Product (Security Suite)
•Click Settings.
•Click Firewall.
•On the Traffic Rules tab, click Add.
•click Allow, then Next
•[I believe you would choose] allow connections from other computers.
—is this a public or private server? [I believe] Private servers require you to add individual computers' to the "list" of what is affected by this; It requires more maintenance than publics. notify me if this is what you want.
if this is for a public server:
•Choose the default setting, Any Computer, then Next
•[not 100% sure on this, others reading this, confirm or correct me] choose protocol "TCP and UDP".
•Choose "Only communications that match all types and ports listed below"
•Click Add. Under Filter by, choose "Individually specified ports".
•Under Locality, [I believe the port is so] choose "Remote"
•Enter port number 25565
•Select "OK" then "Next"
•Create your own name for this as prompted
•Continue following on-screen instructions
