Last week I bought the 2 year N360 premier edition (dutch version). I downloaded the binary file and saved it on my Desktop. But when I double-clicked on this binary file... a message pops up: C:\Documents and Settings\Admin\Desktop\N360Download.exe. The specified path does not exist. I've rebooted my computer and tried to save the binary elsewhere but it still shows the same error (saying the specified path does not exist).
Who can help me with this?!

Hello keukenkikker and welcome!
Based upon your description, you are using the Norton Download Manager.
Although perhaps just a typo in your message, the correct path should be:
C:\Documents and Settings\Admin\Desktop\N360Downloader.exe. (Red text for emphasis only)
The file size should be approximately 388 KB. Please check if this is the case.
Are you using an administrative account to open this file?
Do you have any other security software installed which may be altering the download?
Which browser are you using for the download?

That was a typing error indeed.The file is 388 kb.

Okay, well that helps a bit.
I don't know why the path cannot be found.
Which version of 360 is currently installed (v4 or v5)? Is it the premiere version?
When does the current subscription expire?
There may be an easier method.

Can you try to download the trial version from the following link?

This is the complete installer for Netherlands region(hope it is Dutch version). After installing, you can use the sam Product Key to complete activation. Let us know if this works for you.

At this moment version 4.0 is installed, this is not the premier version.
The subscription has expired ... today ...

I've tried your link, but this one gives the same response. Path does not exist ...
Perhaps I need to remove the complete Norton installation (the old one)?

Hi there,
I've tried some other Norton tools and they all give the same response. Even the Norton_Removal_Tool.exe returns the message "Path does not exist".
I have administrator rights. Dell D830, XP servicepack 3.
I also copied the files in a directory in the program\files instead of the desktop, but it makes no difference.
Please help!

Problem solved!
I removed the Norton 360 v4.0 through configuration -> software.
After this simple action the N360downloader.exe worked fine...
