Norton 360

Before when I clicked on the IE icon to start the web browser, it's pretty fast (Within 2 seconds). Since I installed Norton 360 v3 on my computer, it now takes at least 20 seconds to start my web browser. However, the speed of firefox 3.5.1 is not affected.

If anyone can provide some assistance in this it will be much appreciated.

IE version: 8.0.6001.18702

Operating System: Microsoft XP Pro (32bit) with SP3

CPU: Intel Pentium4 2.93GHz

RAM: 2GB

I suggest you to change the Access of Internet Explorer to Allow from Norton 360 user interface.

Start Norton 360 Version 3.0

Click Settings.

Click Firewall.

On the Programs tab, scroll down to find Internet Explorer, and then change its status to "Allow".

Click Apply > Ok.

Then try the steps from the following document (The document is for 2009 version, you can use it in your case also).
