I installed 360 5.0 yesterday and had quite a bit of trouble. First of all, my DVD drive became invisible when 360 4.0 was uninstalled! My son, who is a computer technician by trade, had to reinstall my DVD drive. Now I cannot find my Identity Safe passwords! I have them backed up - last back-up performed was on 11/6/2011 - with Norton BackUp, but I don't know how to migrate this information to my new Norton product! HELP!!

Hi Auntipatri,
First you need to link your existing Norton backup to this 360 5.0 version.Was it done?
If not done, please click on Manage backup sets under backup from the main product UI.
In that window, you will have to select the settings in the three tabs namely "What, Where & when".
When this is done you can sync up with your Online backup and get your data which are available in the Norton Backup.

Hi,
Are you talking about retrieving your entire data content from the backup or the identity safe data migration?
Once you complete the steps as told in the previous post, click on Restore files from the main UI and then select the backup set from which you want to retrieve the data.

I need to retrieve and migrate only the Identity Safe data to the newly installed 360 5.0 (it did not migrate upon installation as I had hoped). Can you tell me how to do that? Thank you.

Dear auntie patria I'm writing to find out how to get the safe web/the safe search bar/and identity safe icons put onto my control panel and cannot figure out how to do it/can you help please?

auntie patria does your new product have a back up and if it does just run it and it should backup every thing you have in your computer safely. i hope this works. thank you for the help on my issue. betty![]()

Hi Auntipatra,
When you first told that last back up was done in a date, did you meant that you have exported the identity safe logins from Identity safe settings and you backed it up with online backup or you meant it differently?
If you backed up the data as above, just search for the file and import it to the profile by the import option available in Identity safe settings.Moreover, you just installed N360 5.0 over N360 4.0 you should have your logins by default. Just login to the identity safe if you have not logged in already. To login, from main product UI, under Identity protection, click on login to identity safe and it would ask for the password. Just enter the password and login to your profile.Never mind, if you know all this before and if you have done it but just wanted to make sure that things are set with the product.
