Iexplore.exe bad image

Everytime i open an explore page, an error says, "globalroot\systemroot\system32\ESQULcxldxbebjggtokaqijutcvqnkpjxcwqx.dll is either not designed to run on Windows or it contains an error. Try installing the program again using the original installation media or contact your system administrator or the software vendore for support" any ideas why or how to fix??? thank you.

Re: Iexplore.exe bad image

Hi

Please see if you can provide either a GMER or a RootRepeal.

http://www.gmer.net/

After it is downloaded to your desktop, right click on the icon, go to properties, and click unblock and apply.

http://homepages.slingshot.co.nz/~crutches/RootRepel/

Click on "Report"

Select all the boxes

Then your HD.

Then click scan

Re: Iexplore.exe bad image

Ok, so i read some of the other posts and ran a SysProt and found a hidden module running with the server name ESQULserv.sys. I then proceeded to disable it, and it said it would take affect after the next reboot. After i rebooted the computer, I opened an internet explorer and the "iexplore.exe bad image" did not pop up like before, but the module is still in the SysProt, so is it still on the computer but just not running? Or is it not there at all?

No you have already used a dangarous tool in the way it can work and remove anything in the list including red ones.

So i am not touching it.

Have fun, getting the files and registry entries.

Unfortunately, Quads is the forum expert on this type of malware removal.  If you have used tools that limit or incapacitate our ability to assist you, there is nothing further we can do.

Re: Iexplore.exe bad image

If you have unloaded (disabled) it as you say you have then Norton should detect and remove it.
