Incorrect password message

I renewed my Norton 360 but when I go to myNortonAccount and try to log in to retrieve the download it says I typed in the wrong password or username.  But when I go to another computer it logs in to my account just fine.  I have checked caps lock and numlock and all seems ok.  I also tried to log into my personal email account on this computer and it tells me the same thing.  But when I go back to the other computer it works fine.  I have even updated my password to be sure and the same thing.

Any suggestions.

Re: Incorrect password message

Hi, pcummins,

Welcome to our community!

This is a bit of a long shot, but I have seen one or two times where a bit has got scrambled resulting in CAPS LOCK or NUM LOCK actually being toggled to the opposite of what they show! So the first thing I'd suggest is a good old fashioned reboot.

If that doesn't work, we can try a scan for malware, as that could sometimes result in symptoms like this (especially blocking access to sites associated with the major security vendors), but I think that's a bit less likely for now since you're getting the same interference on your e-mail server.

Keep us posted--we're here to help until you're  ready to hit that "Accept as Solution" button, and resume your computing life already in progress! :smileyvery-happy:

Re: Incorrect password message

Awesome! It's the result that counts--and glad you got a good one.

There have been some Norton/Firefox issues lately--so if you'd like to have a crack at that (should you have other problems besides just the password issue) I'd encourage you to start a new thread (since you've marked this one Solved) and we'll see if we can't sort them all out.
