Insight Network Scan Checking For: SecurityRisk.URLRdir

The subject scan is taking FOREVER!   This scan always begins at sometime when I select the Virus and Spyware Scan.

At one point it always says something about a request to end the scan and if I do there may be things missed.

I normally just go ahead and end the scan.   I've never let it run for 2 or 3 days but, the one currently running has run now for at least five or six hours.

Is this normal?

running Norton 360 v.4  windows XP

SecurityRisk.URLRdir - a detection for suspicious entries added to the hosts file. The entries typically redirect security or operating system related URLs to the local host or to a malicious IP address.

A. is "Insight Network Scan Checking For: SecurityRisk.URLRdir"  a Norton Scanning tool?  

B. if yes why is it taking so long?
