Hi tgnn,
Since snowstorm apparently so unceramoniously dumped you in a manner I do not feel anyone should be treated I'll try to assist you.
First of all I know you mentioned your cousin had an HP, is it true you also have an HP Laptop?
If so, can you get back into Safe Mode on it and see if there is a Recovery Partition? I can see mine via COMPUTER - it shows the C: drive and a Factory Image (the same as a Recovery Drive) This extra drive (actually a partition of the internal hard drive) is supplied by HP in lieu of Recovery CDs.
I am not totally up to speed on the recovery using the Factory Image (Recovery Drive), but I am sure there may be another Guru here that will be able to provide the step by step direction you need - provided you come back and tell us what you can see in Safe Mode.
BTW - what exactly does the label on the Microsoft disc say?

In all the time I've been on these forums, and I sometimes ask for help and give silly answers to those trying to help me, I have never seen anything like your comment.
I think an immediate apology to tgnn is required.
Meanwhile, tgnn I wish to apologize for you're being so shamefully treated by snowstorm, especially when he was asking you questions which clearly demonstrate that he does not, in any way, understand your predicament. He was asking you to perform actions which were clearly impossible when you were unable to boot into Windows and he even doubted that by asking you how you were answering him if you were unable to boot the computer.
Please understand that the volunteers on this board, with the exception of snowstorm are kind, considerate and genuine people who genuinely try very hard to help others with their problems.
I am sorry that my limited knowledge does not allow me to offer to assist you, but, I am sure yank is trying very hard to do so, in a very polite and correct way and, should he not be able to succeed someone else will continue what he has started.
Please continue to have faith in the forum and let us know how it all goes, until you have the answer which you're seeking.
