Norton 360

I restaged my computer, installed Norton 360 version 5.0. The internet connection was really fast. But when I shut down there were some live updates and after that the internet connection is very slow. I have Windows 7 Home Edition. Laptop manufacturer is Toshiba. Is there any way I can speed up internet connection?

Have you confirmed that there are no other security programs installed on your computer? If you do not require 360 v5 I'd recommend that you update to 360 v6 [the current version]. be sure that your OS is current as well. When you run a full scan does it find anything? You might also try running the free scannere from Malwarebytes found here: http://www.malwarebytes.org/products/malwarebytes_free it's Norton compatible so keep it around to use when you feel the need for a second opinion. I get that feeling every week or two
