Is Jucheck.exe a Trojan?

A Shield keeps blinking on my Windows 7 task bar wanting to access my computer. I won't let it. I'm running an Intel i7 860 at 2.80 GHz with 8GB Ram and Norton 360 v4.0.0.127 . Should I be worried? How is it removed? I've never seen this before.

Thanks in advance

Pete

Re: Is Jucheck.exe a Trojan?

Here is a link to some info about this that suggests it is likely not a trojan, however, I don't know this guy, his website, or his credibility, so I recommend reading the information and then judging for yourself whether you want to trust the file or not.

You can find more information on jucheck.exe over here at the Process Library:

http://www.processlibrary.com/directory/files/jucheck/

According to the above, jucheck.exe is the update component of Sun Java.
