Hello Norton, a suggestion here. First, my problem. My 360 has crashed twice, been a norton customer for 15 plus years. I started using Identity Safe. That was a little confusing, still don't understand cards, but the logins and passwords work great.
The problem. When 360 crashes and has to be reinstalled, or the HD fails and we rely on to make us whole again, the data in Identity Safe is gone. Heck, that is why i started using it, not to forget.
As I read the message boards, I see that a lot of people have lost their data. I read farther, and the Norton Techs say that we should have backed up our Identity Safe logins.
MAYBE WE SHOULD HAVE BEEN WARNED THAT WE NEEDED TO BACK UP OUR IDENTITY SAFE OR WE WERE IN DANGER OF LOSING OUR LOGINS! MAYBE A LITTLE PROMPT FROM TIME TO TIME WOULD GET THE IDEA ACROSS!
I just did not ever think I would have to backup the software that backs up my computer? Seems to me this should be automatic, or at the least, we, as customers, should be told, for our satifaction and heartbreak over thinking of the time we have to spend, going to each web site, hitting the 'forgot login' button, then returning to hit the 'forgot password' button.
Norton people, please install a prompt or automatic backup.
Users of 360, you better back up your Identity Safe, as 360 does crash. They have great support, and will get it back up for you and make you smile, but if the data is not backed up, it is gone.

my deepest heart felt lost;i`ve been there and learned a variable lesson always back up everything; same with all your other files pictures, data ect. the simple way i back up identy safe is if your running version 6 is to go to norton tool bar and go to options and export to a location on use the move to online feature. you stated you been using norton for 15 years and you never used the idenity feature if you had the previous version would of backed up you login automatic when you installed a new version, at lease you would of had something to go on. if you just started using it i would think there is any way to retrieve your info. and as for the cards it for filling out forms or credit card info it just saves time. on again my apologizes for your loss, computers are fickle back up everything. you can also set your back up to do this automatic. once again sorry

Hi,
There is the option now to store your usernames and passwords in the cloud which will eliminate the problem of local problems eliminating access to that data.
