Hi Peice1981,
Welcome to the forum. Which OS and SP do you have? Am I understanding correctly that the monitor is going into power save upon initial Windows startup such that you cannot even log on?
What other Symantec or Norton products do you have? Also try to boot into SAFE mode which you can do by restarting the computer and hitting F8 key until the advanced options menu appears. From here select SAFE mode without networking.
Allow the computer to come all the way up. Does the monitor still go into power save? SAFE mode should not be affected by whatever is causing this. If your monitor is working at this point, log in. Note: your display will look different but don't worry about this. SAFE mode uses very limited drivers.
Let me know how it looks at this point and then we can work further to resolve the problem.

Hi Peice
Are you sure that your monitor hasn't died? Perhaps you have to reinstall the monitor drivers?

It's working now. I shut down the computer for 30 mins. and turned it back on. I don't know why it did it though. Thanks for helping.
Hi Peice,
Thank you for the update and glad that it is working now. Hopefully you will have no further problems with it.
