Forgive me if I don't understand or am posting a question that's been answered already, but it's my first time here, and I don't even really know how I found this site.
I upgraded to Firefox 11.0 mainly because I was tired of the message asking me if I wanted to do so popping up every time I turned on my computer. Then my Norton Identity Safe button disappeared. I LOVE that button ... I NEED that button ... Where did it go and how do I get it back? I've tried downloading previous versions of Firefox because I had my NIS button before the upgrade, but I can't remember which version I had, and the only one I seem to be able to get, no matter which one I select, is 3.6.28, and my NIS button doesn't work for that version, either.
Has the problem been fixed? If so, could someone tell me how to fix it? I can check version numbers and all that if need be, but provide detailed instructions on how to find it because I don't know what all the numbers mean or how to find them. I don't even know which version of Norton 360 I'm using, but I have 324 days until I have to renew it, if that helps.
Please, please, please help me get that button back. I'm forced to used IE9 in the meantime because my button is there, but I detest IE with a passion. It's awful, slow, crash-prone, and ugly. I want my FF back, but it's pretty useless without the NIS button.
Thank you.

Hi,
Yappingppuppy,
Welcome to Norton Community,
Can you try following options.
In FF, Go to tools->Addons-> Extension->Check for Norton toolbar status: whether its enabled/disabled/ Incompatible/ Not listed?
We have released Toolbar support for FF11 , In order to get that patch, please run liveupdate repeatedly until it shows " your Norton product has latest updates"and restart whenever it requires.
Now check Norton toolbar addons has "enable" button in FF->Tools->Addons->Norton toolbar addons, Once you have option to enable, please enable and restart FF then check the issue
Please provide Product version(To find the product version, Open N360 -> Support->About), FF with version( To find FF version, FF menu-> Help->about Firefox)
Thanks,
Senthil

If it is the "FF" you do not understand, it refers to Firefox. The instructions above explain how to check and enable the toolbar in Firefox version11. They should work in earlier versions.
Which version of N360 are you running? Click on Support-About.
The main thing to check is running LiveUpdate until there are no updates available, rebooting the computer as necessary.

I have the same problem and I have tried LiveUpdate. When I check Tools->Add On's->Extensions, I do not see Norton IPS at all. I have in the past with an older version of FF. I do still see Norton Vulnerability Protection as I did before which is enabled.
yappingpuppy, what I did was open Norton and go to safeweb (lower left icon) and type "Norton safe web" in the Safe Search field, and then you can either click on the safeweb.norton.com page or click on the upper left icon that says "Norton safe search" (this one is powered by ask.com). I did both and bookmarked those pages. For some reason, when I do searches this way I get back those little Norton icons that let me know if a site is safe or not.
With the Norotn safe web page you need to know the website address. With the second one (the one by ask.com) you can search topics.
But I also would like to get that Norton IPS toolbar back.
EDIT -> One time after an update, Norton told me I had to restart my computer for the updates to take effect. So after I ran LiveUpdate it never said I had to restart my computer this time for the update to take effect. But I just did a restart just in case. When I did open FF I got back my Norton toolbar (after a FF restart as well).
