My DVD drive has suddenly stopped working

I have a Dell Studio 17 running Vista Home Premium.  My DVD drive has suddenly stopped working and I know of no damage done to it (i.e. I didn't drop the computer, etc). I ran a Norton 360 diagnostic report and it shows a problem with the DVD drive and some "unknown device". I followed the Device Manager and tried to reload the drivers (or whatever that suggested step is), but the DVD still doesn't work. Any ideas?  Thanks!

Re: My DVD drive has suddenly stopped working

Try uninstalling the DVD drivers and it should reload on the next boot up
