I have a machine where I used the latest Norton 360 w/ MS Windows Vista Ultimate.
I upgraded that machine from Vista Ultimate to MS Windows 7 Home Premium. The Windows installer forced me to do a "clean" install of Win 7 H.P. where I could not preserve my N360 configuration and activation/key.
So now with a fresh Win 7 H.P. system I want to re-install and re-establish Norton 360 using the same activation/key/subscription as before. I can do the re-install, that's not really the question.
The question is, how can I can make sure the N360 activation/key/subscription (unexpired) that I originally used for this machine will be used again with the new "clean" OS install, and *not* use a "new" activation/key of my 3-machine license? I don't want it to erroneously use one of my available licenses. I want it to use the same license/key/etc. with Win 7 H.P. as was used with Win Vista Ultimate.
Thanks,
-Gary K

Hi,
The easiest way to go is to sign into https://manage.norton.com/ with your Norton Account details and go to the My Account tab. You should see the activation on the Vista. Clicking the trash can icon will free up that activation so you can use the key on Windows 7.
If you have problems, Customer support should be able to sort it for you quickly. You can reach them at http://www.norton.com/chat. Live Chat is usually the quickest.
