How do I change(?) the existing Norton 4.0 product code from an expiring one to a new one which is valid for another year for three PCs? I bought the new three-PC version and would like to use if for an existing account Norton 4.0 PC, if possible. I have tried uninstalling it, but it returns to the existing product code after re-insall and doesn't allow me to enter the new product code ?

Hello somdhandyman
Welcome to the Norton Community Forum
If you have a current license which is about to expire, you should have a place there where it says you can renew the product by entering in the new key. Please make sure though that it is for the same type of N360. A new standard key for the old standard key or a new premier key for the old premier key. The keys are not interchangeable. You should not need to reinstall the product unless you have been having difficulty or problems with the old version. I don't use N360, but there should definitely be a place to enter a new key. Please wait until a day or 2 before the end cause you will lose any remaining days when you do enter the new key. If you continue to have problems with doing that, you can contact customer support for free via the chat program.

This is the link for US/Can. If you need a different location, please consult your local Symantec site for the local free chat customer support link. You can also ask me and I can find another location if it is necessary. Thanks.
Success always occurs in private and failure in full view.

I missed the location within Norton 360 under "My Account" and "Renew Subscription" where the new product key can be entered. The first time I tried it, the code could not be entered(?), but subsequent attempts allowed it to be. Bottom line - my susbscription has been renewed for the remaining period - approx. 360 days! Thanks for the help!
