New to Forum - Please anyone know how to post this appropriately ?

I have been researching a suspicious file found in my C main root called "UFantasy.ini". I can't find reliable information on this file as my concern is that it may be malware related. Norton Insight refuses to scan the file as it says "Can't Find the File" when I right click scan by Norton Insight right on the file.

Word on the internet is everything from "No risk - leave it alone" to "Malware and if you remove it OS will no longer boot up but hang up". So then What is this file, What can be done with it safely and what is its intended purpose ?

I have attached the file for examination.

Please suggest a way to put this question into a proper forum. I am not navigating this community well just yet.

Hi tekjim,

Do not attach a possibly malicious file to a forum post.  Instead, upload it to VirusTotal for an analysis:

Re: New to Forum - Please anyone know how to post this appropriately ?

Thanks Guys for your help on this.

I don't read German.

I did scan the file and it is clean.

This does not explain how it recently arrived with a date stamp of only 4 months ago since I have had USB devices for years and no changes have been made with the exception of using a new pen drive or two.

I simply do not approve of files being planted without my knowledge or approval.

The most current information I can find out about this file is it still remains in the "grey area" of possible Spyware.

Thanks again for your help and anyone else that has information on this will be entitled to my appreciation as well.
