No my issue was not resolved!

Not only was my issue not resolved, it can not be resolved. Thanks to your customer supports advice I uninstalled norton even though I told him I that my DVD R/CD RW unit and my CDrom both quit seeing files at the same time and that internet explorer would not display windows update site. After he could not access your update site during a remote assistance and then losing access to my internet browser completely, his advice over the phone was to uninstall/reinstall again. When I asked him how I was supposed to do that with no cdrom and no internet he suggested I go buy a flash drive and download to a different computer. Then told me some crap about it not being an issue with norton and ended the call! I find it very hard to belive that he thought both my drives experienced mechanical failure at the same time and that he did not recognize the fact that every step taken to fix problem was blocked and then access to that service was blocked. Is anyone else thinking virus here?

NO! MY ISSUE WAS NOT RESOLVED BY NORTON!

WAY TO FAIL!!!

If anyone out there has experianced this problem and knows a fix....(my software came pre-installed and I am past my support warranty. Not only did I lose my music, pictures and other information and files, I lost my 120 Gig hard drive. I had to install an old 20 Gig out of my  mom's broken computer) please post a reply. Thank you!

Re: No my issue was not resolved!

Hello shawnnataz,

I'm sorry to hear your expreience. :(

Can you plese tell us a bit more about your PC?

Which Windows OS and Service Pack do you run?

Which Norton product and version do you have on it?

What type of HDD it has, and did you (or the PC manufacturer) made partitions on it for Windows, your files, games etc?

How old this PC is?

Did you noticed any slowness in the last times?

Can you boot into Windows without errors?

If yes, try to run the system file checker utility: write sfc /scannow into the Run section, and hit enter.

If no, did you tried to reinstall your Windows? (Maybe it is the one, that has produced the errors.)
