I'm having some difficulty in getting your product installed. I attempted an installation once, only to have it half install before blue-screening. On reboot I lost the functionality of my blu-ray drive. I did get this resolved, but am now unable to install my norton product. I uninstalled it with Revo uninstaller (add/remove programs and norton uninstaller would not work), attempted reinstallation, at which point i am told the program stops working right after i put in the cd key. I'm running windows 7, QX 9300 processor, Nvidia 9800 GT, 8GB of Ram.

Hi Axeman2063,
Welcome to Norton Community!
Do you have any other security programs installed in your computer?
What exactly happens when you try to run the Norton Removal Tool?
Did you try installing Norton program from Safe Mode?

Hello Axeman2063
What security program did you have before you tried installing N360 and how was it removed? Thanks.

I was actually using norton internet security 2010 previously...I uninstalled it using the one that came with the program. Have not tried running install while in safe mode, will try that today.

Hello Axeman2063
I would recommend using the Norton Removal Tool. Since you are changing products, you need to have a clean uninstall. Please remove any NIS 2010 and N360 that may still be there and then reboot. The use of the Noton Removal Tool will remove all Norton products.
Please download N360 to your desktop and save it. Since you haven't mentioned with N360 you are trying to install, I'll give you all of them and you pick the proper one.

Please pick the appropriate link based on the amount of backup space you have
Please download and save the Norton Removal Tool.
You can download the Norton Removal tool from
http://www.symantec.com/symnrt
Please pick the proper Norton product that you want to remove. Also please be aware that it will remove all Norton products, so back up Identity Safe using the program to back that up. Also please have your product key handy.
Thank you Allen for new link
Please stay off the net until N360 wants to connect. Please run the Norton Removal Tool 2 times with a reboot after each run of it.
Then please try to install N360 using the link I have provided. Please enter the key and then run live update until there are no more updates and then reboot.
Please come back and let us know if this time it has been successful. Thanks.
