Norton 360

My current Norton 360 3.0. has 2 days subscription left.  As it was downloaded from a CD purchased at the time of buying my Laptop, therefore not direct from Norton I decided to renew today via the Symantec website and ordered Norton 360 5.0. .

Everything went through without a hitch but I cannot find it on my computer.  I have had the order confirmed via email so it did

go through.  However, my current Norton is still showing as "2 days to go".  I am not very computer literate just enough to

get me through what I do so any hjelp in this matter would be much appreciated.

The update is not fully automatic.

You should have the subscription key in the confirmation email [25 characters long]

Reboot and see if that helps. If necessary you can download a fresh copy of 360 from here:  http://www.norton.com/n360s_5/ You will need to run live update several times and reboot at least a couple more times to get everything up to date. The program will tell you when you have downloaded and installed all of the updates. Please do not quit until then.

Thank-you, I shall have to try that later.

After posting here I connected to "Chat".  I was talked through the re-downloading which supposedly "uninstalled"  the

old version, but although I have a new Interface it is still showing "2 days remaining".  Part of me is hoping it might sort

itself at the end of that time, however, having read some of the postings on the forum I do not think I am out of the woods

yet. 

I did not "Save" but selected "Run" could that perhaps have been the problem.

Hi dreeny,

       Did you received any renewal code for the order you had purchased?

And if the answer is no, then please contact the chat again and provide the order number and ask for the renewal code.

If you had started the renewal process from the interface then the subscription days for the renewal will be synced directly to the product. But if you'd purchased the renewal from the website separately, then you have to look for the renewal code.

          in the new interface of N360 Verion 5, if it shows 2 days remaining, beside that you will have an option to click on renew or activate or subscribe or buy now , click on any of those option and the next page will popup and it have option to type in your subscription renew code or the product key... if so .. please open the email, check for the renew code or the product key, copy from the email, paste it in the activation page and click on the small arrow and thats it, your product is activated
