It should, yes--as long as the virus isn't too new to be recognized (and even then, there's a good chance the heuristics would catch it).

Adding to the Guruji's Suggestion...The Product should be upto-date with latest virus definitions in order to detect and destroy latest malicious threats...

Good on ya--flash drives are a common vector for infection; better to check such things out when you're uncertain.
