I am new to this board and my daughter suggested I post here to see if there is a solution to a problem that has been happening on both my personal laptop and work pc over the last 3 months or so. The normal "Windows has experienced an error with SONAR component and needs to shut it down" keeps popping up. At first we thought it was related to Microsoft Office but it appears to happen whenever. After doing some research, we discovered that it is related to Norton (OCH.EXE located in a Symantec folder). I upgraded the laptop from Norton AntiVirus to Norton 360 (2.5.0.5) and it still appears to be happening. Any suggestions on how to resolve the issue so that the error stops happening? Thanks!
Laptop System OS = Windows XP SP3

How did you removed the Norton AntiVirus (simple uninstall, clean windows install, by norton removal tool)? And which version was that (2007/2008/2009)?
And can you see in the Norton History any log to this error? Or do you get any error number from the software?
