I have a question if i turn on silent mode would that stop norton from running idle scans and background task?

It should -but all that we're missed will be run when you turn Silent mode back on!

K thnx i was only asking cause i think  when i plug my portable hardrive in and norton then decides to run idle scans and background task it locks the drive
