I just renewed Norton 360 v5 online with Norton and can't open the N#^)dowloader.exe file. I called Norton support and Al told me I am running V4 and have to remove it before the download will install. Then he offered a support package. My computer shows I am running V5l. Windows compatiability check tell me that thsi file is XP and will not urn on windows 7. Any suggestions since Norton will not help until I purchase their support package?

Hi LJ,
A lot of things don't sound right here. Are you sure you were in contact with Symantec Tech Support? If you Googled "Norton Support" it is very possible to wind up at iYogi or some other third-party support company that is not affiliated with Symantec. You do not have to purchase a support package to get help installing a Norton product through the official support site. If you already have Norton 360 v.5 installed (check in Support > About) you do not need to install the program again. You should be able to enter the renewal code or Product Key by clicking the "Renew" link in the main Norton window. If you need to contact support, do so through this page:
