So then, for those of you who do not know, SP1 for Windows 7 was released today. For those of you who do know, I have a question: Does N360 v5 play nice with SP1? I recall updating from Vista to 7, and I got a BSoD because it was not compatible. How are things on SP1? Any compatibility issues I need to worry about?

It's working perfectly fine on Win7 SP1 as well. I have it since a little while.

No issues for me with Norton 360 Version 5 running under Win 7 SP1.

Just to let you know, I 've installed SP1 for Windows 7, 64 bit, it works just fine, no issues! I hope that when I upgrade to v5, I won't have any problems. One note- on the average it takes around one hour to download, install, and configure SP1, so be patient. Another thing, if you are not comfortable installing SP1 yourself, call Microsoft at 1866-PCSafety. They will help you out for free!
Cheers!

Did you install V5 before or after SP1?
I installed SP1, but haven't installed V5 yet. Look at your system Restore, there should be a choice where you can revert your PC to the steta when it was working ok before SP1 installation.
make sure you have a restore point, so when something goes wrong you can revert to that time.
Norton should have V5 compatible with SP1.

System Restore is not recommended for removing SP1 nor Norton 360. System Restore will probably completely break Norton 360, and who knows what it might do to a recently installed service pack. This would not be a good way to proceed to fix a minor issue with a gadget.
If another reboot does not solve the issue a better approach would be to uninstall Norton 360 and reinstall it (be sure to backup Identity Safe data first).
