I have recently installed Acronis True Image Home 2010. I am running Vista 64.
I have found that Norton 360 V3 backup no longer works:
I wanted to find out if the products are fundamentally incompatible and what the options are.
As I see it I could
Ideas very welcome

I have ATI 2010 (latest build released this week) as well with N360.
The only commonality I have with you is your item #1 and #4. All my backups in N360 end up being canceled for no reasons. I have been trying for 2-3 days without success. I just finished completely uninstalling and reinstalling N360 and will try a backup again.
For items #2 and 3, those happen if you have an N360 backup management window open. Close all N360 windows and those optionsshould return.
Among your possible solutions, Norton Ghost 15 is apparently coming out next week (according to Amazon.com). Something to consider.

Thanks for the feedback.
I checked the symptoms again you are correct although I find that the backup tab on file properties does not exist for files created after ATI was installed.
Ghost certainly seems an option unless the products can be made to work together.
kind regards

OK so I deinstalled Acronis True Image Home 2010 and my Norton 360 V3 backups now work OK.
I have had so many problems with the Acronis software I have decided to get my money back - thank goodness for Amazon in this regard.
As to what to use instead probably Ghost - however it seems that the real issue with any PC system backup software is how do you test it. If you test it and it does not work you have no system and are in the situation that the software is supposed to help you avoid.

Hi MartinB
I have used Ghost 12 and 14 (when restoring imaged systems to use for software testing) well over a hunderd times and have not had a failure yet. It is a very solid piece of software. The new version, Ghost 15, should be in the stores in a couple of weeks.
Hope that helps.
