Norton 360 - not able to activate after new install

Hi,

 

My subscription was expiriing, so I bought the new Norton 360 from Norton.com at a good price (you know how the price varies all over the place). I installed and everything seemed good. Except the Norton app still said I had 5 days til expire. The download didn't update the status on my machine. I go to my account on Norton and it said that my new purchase was not activated.  I do not know how to activate it. I have tried re-downloading and it always says that the download is successful.

I solved this problem. Clicked onnorton  web site that I wanted to return product. Through that mechanism I was connected with a chat line. The norton support person activated my subscription. Prior to that I was unable to find a live support/chat line feature on the web site. He gave me the link for Norton Support. www.norton.com/support. Also, phone support line# 800-745-6061.

The problem I suggest is that installing a newer version of Norton does not activate the license you purchased. To do that you merely needed to click on "renew" against the existing subscription and then enter the key from the new product.
